Sleep Council have teamed up with The Sleep Charity and Sleepstation surveying more than 2,700 people to get a better idea of the nation's sleep during COVID-19.
What the National Sleep Survey Told Us
Here are some of the findings from the National Sleep Survey -
- Around 43% of respondents are finding it harder to fall asleep, with the unease of the situation affecting nearly three quarters.
- Over 10% of people are experiencing severe symptoms of depression, with women more likely to report this than men.
- 77% of respondents said a lack of sleep interferes with their ability to function in day-to-day life.
- Women are suffering more anxiety than men plus they are more likely to report this compared to men.
- Vivid dreams are becoming commonplace and more prevalent with women.
