Here at Dial A Mattress, we have taken a look back at the trends we have seen in bed frame sales over the first half of the year

We are officially over halfway through 2021. With complete lockdown now firmly behind us, people are back to work and looking towards the future. Here at Dial A Mattress, we have taken a look back at the trends we have seen in bed frame sales over the first half of the year, and we can say we certainly have seen an increase in some styles, and we hope the trend continues!

The Top Trend

Many people in the UK have spent at least some of lockdown having a good old sort out. Whether it's clothes, shoes, old bedding and towels or even just unwanted junk that has collected over the years. In many homes, this means that the storage boxes that were once under the bed are no longer needed. So when it comes to treating yourself to a new bed, you can opt for one that looks great when under the bed is empty! No longer needing to hide unsightly boxes.

This means that the top trend in the first half of the year has been some of our stunning metal frames. Metal frames are an elegant way to enjoy a minimalist feeling in your bedroom, meaning they look great with very little to nothing hiding underneath.

In Second Place

A trend that isn't too far behind simple metal bedframes is the increasingly popular ottoman beds. While many people have had a sort out, some people have opted for the option of hiding away anything they have kept. Some people have even done away with drawers in favour of hiding everything in the base of their beds!
We love the ottoman beds. They are great for storing a range of things, from your clothes, bedding and towels, to books kids toys and even birthday presents from unsuspecting little hands!

As part of this trend, we have seen a large increase in the request for single ottoman beds as people start to consider them for children's rooms and even the smaller guest bedroom. They are a great place to store children's toys, and the lifting mechanism is gentle so that little fingers should be safe.
